For centuries women have given birth at home. It was not until recent times that it become socially normal to give birth in the hosiptal. However, there are still some women that believe in giving birth at home.
Studies have shown that having a home birth is as safe if not safer at home than in the hosiptal. The bonding is much more intimate at home. There is nobody to whisk away your baby to do measurements and checkups immediately after birth at home allowing you to have immediate bonding with your newborn.
